Role & responsibilities
Job Purpose
To lead and manage end-to-end Talent Acquisition for plant and corporate functions, ensuring timely hiring of quality talent across technical, managerial, and blue-collar roles within the steel manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition Strategy & Workforce Planning
- Develop and implement TA strategies aligned with business expansion and production targets.
- Partner with Plant Heads, HODs, and Corporate HR to forecast manpower requirements.
- Prepare annual hiring plans and recruitment budgets.
2. End-to-End Recruitment Management
- Lead hiring for all levels including:
- Plant Operations (Sponge Iron, Ferro Alloys, Power Plant)
- Maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation)
- Quality, Production, Safety, Stores, Commercial, Finance & HR
- Blue-collar workforce and contractual manpower
- Manage bulk hiring drives for plant expansions and shutdown projects.
- Ensure TAT adherence and cost-effective hiring.
3. Sourcing & Employer Branding
- Build strong sourcing channels including job portals-Naukri.com indeed, workindia, social media, consultants, campus hiring, and employee referrals.
- Develop talent pipelines for critical and niche steel industry roles.
- Strengthen employer branding in industrial clusters.
4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for interview scheduling and selection decisions.
- Manage and evaluate recruitment consultants/vendors.
- Negotiate and finalize salary offers within approved compensation structures.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure statutory compliance in recruitment processes.
- Maintain recruitment MIS, hiring dashboards, and analytics reports.
- Ensure proper documentation, offer letters, and onboarding coordination.
6. Onboarding & Joining Experience
- Oversee smooth onboarding and induction of new hires.
- Monitor joining ratio and reduce offer drop-outs.
- Coordinate with HR Operations for seamless integration.

Preferred candidate profile
Required Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in HR (Full-time preferred)
- 815 years of experience in Talent Acquisition (Steel / Manufacturing Industry mandatory for Manager role)
- Strong exposure to plant-level hiring
